Trusts welcomes first nurses to arrive following overseas recruitment drive

The Northern Health and Social Care Trust is delighted to welcome the first cohort of nurses joining the Trust as part of an overseas recruitment drive.

Six nurses joined the Trust in following a recruitment drive in Italy.

The nurses are supporting the delivery of services in Antrim Area Hospital wards A1, B5, C4, C5 and in theatres; bringing with them invaluable experience and vital skills.

Director of Nursing, Eileen McEneaney, warmly welcomed the six nurses to the Northern Trust, saying “they are joining an excellent nursing team who will support them to contribute to deliver the high standard of care which we all want to provide for our patients in the Northern Trust.”

The new recruits praised the approach of the Northern Trust and colleagues in helping them settle into Northern Ireland life.  Samanthia Noal, who comes to the Northern Trust with a Master of International Healthcare Management, Economics and Policy, said the “warm welcome provided by colleagues and the great social induction provided by the Northern Trust has made her first month in Northern Ireland so much better than expected”.
