Heart Health Facilitator Training

The Heart Health toolkit is a new and innovative programme developed in the NHSCT to increase the knowledge, awareness and skills of staff/volunteers working with or supporting people with a learning disability and their carers. The 8 week programme focuses on the key messages of heart health, nutrition and physical activity. Delivery of the Heart Health programme will support positive health outcomes for people with a learning disability with regard to concerns relating to overweight and obesity.

Community Cooking Skills Training

Cook It! Tutor Training

Cook it! is a practical cooking skills programme, promoting healthy eating, particularly where cost is a consideration. It can be used with a wide range of groups, from youth clubs to older people in day care groups.

Food Values Tutor Training  

Food Values is a programme for anyone who buys and prepares their own food each week. The programme includes practical activities as well as hands-on cooking in each session.

I Can Cook It! Tutor training.  A programme for those working with people with a learning disability

I Can Cook it! is a version of ‘Cook It’ which has been specifically developed to support adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. It is a practical cooking skills programme, promoting healthy eating, particularly where cost is a consideration.

Little Allotment Tutor Training aims to assist and advise any organisation or community group with small scale ‘grow your own’ projects.
