Clinical Health Psychology Service

Psychological services are offered to adults who are experiencing emotional distress resulting from their physical health condition and its associated treatment/management. Services are offered to people with cardiology, diabetes, oncology, pain, renal and respiratory conditions.

The focus of input from our service is the psychological distress resulting from having a long term health condition/health diagnosis and the health interventions associated with it.

Our service includes a counselling service for adults (18yrs and above) with renal conditions and a Psychological services to children, young people and their families living with diabetes.

The service operates Monday to Friday from 9 am - 5 pm.

Our offices are based at Holywell Hospital, but we aim to offer appointments across the Northern Trust area where possible at a range of venues including:

Ballymena Health Care Centre, Causeway Hospital, Holywell Hospital, Mid Ulster Hospital, Mountfern Complex in Coleraine and Whiteabbey Hospital.
