Eating Disorder Service

The Eating Disorder Service is an outpatient service based in the Villa, Holywell Hospital, Antrim, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

The service treats patients who are over 18 years of age with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and eating disorders not otherwise specified (E.D.N.O.S).

Treatments
The service provides a number of treatments:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Specific to Eating Disorders)
  • Interpersonal Therapy
  • Motivational Therapy
  • Body Image Work
  • Physical monitoring, in conjunction with GP
  • Psycho-education
  • Family work where indicated

StampED - Eating Disorder Support Group

StampED is the Northern Area eating disorder support group. StampED`s mission is to stamp out eating disorder from the lives of sufferers and their families/ friends/ carers and to raise the profile of Eating Disorder and its negative impact on the sufferer and friends/family.

The group is affiliated with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust Adult Eating Disorder Service.

The group is made up of both present and recovered eating disorder sufferers and carers.  Northern Trust Eating Disorder Therapists also are in attendance at each meetings.

StampED meets on the first Monday of every month at ASDA Training Room, Junction 1, Antrim from 7 pm to 9 pm. Anyone with an eating disorder past or present and their friends or family are welcome to attend.

If a Bank Holiday falls on the scheduled date the Following Tuesday night is used as the meeting date.
