Geriatric/Elderly Medicine

Geriatric Medicine includes the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and care of those over 65 years of age.

This can be either as inpatient, outpatient, day rehabilitation or community assessment.

Inpatient

Inpatient services are provided at Antrim Area Hospital, Causeway Hospital, and Whiteabbey Hospital. Geriatric medicine inpatient services are provided over the twenty four hour period seven days per week.

Outpatient

Outpatients services are provided at various clinics across the Northern Trust.

Day rehabilitation

Day Rehabilitation is provided at Whiteabbey Hospital.

Day Rehabilitation operates Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm.
