Smokers in Pomeroy get help to kick the habit

As part of No Smoking Day campaign, Hearty Lives Cookstown has recently provided local smokers in Pomeroy with a Stop Smoking Specialist Support Programme assisting them in giving up smoking.

Smokers are much more likely to be successful in their attempt to quit if they have specialist support and use Nicotine Replacement Therapies or prescribed medication. Group support is particularly successful, providing smokers with the opportunity of supporting and learning from each other especially throughout their first four weeks of quitting, when the withdrawal effects are worst.
