Northern Trust launch Carer A-Z Directory

The Northern Trust has launched its new updated Cares A-Z Directory to support carers in their role by indicating what help is available to them. The directory details information about support services provided within the Northern Trust and through external organisations.

The booklet was compiled in partnership with Carers NI, and will be distributed throughout the Trust Health and Social Care Teams, GP practices and community/voluntary organisations.

Olive MacLeod, Chair of the Carers Strategy Steering Group and Director of Nursing and User Experiences for the Northern Trust said: “Family carers make a vital contribution to the health and wellbeing of our population. We know from working with carers that up to date information is essential to supporting them in their caring role. This A-Z directory provides a comprehensive list of support services within the Northern Trust and in the community and voluntary sector, and we will endeavour to distribute it as widely as possible.”
