The Northern Health and Social Care Trust has been named as one of the CHKS 40Top Hospitals for 2014.
The 40Top award is one of several awards that are part of the CHKS Top Hospitals programme and is given to the 40 top performing CHKS client Trusts in the UK.
Paul Cummings, Senior Director, Northern Trust, said: “We are delighted to receive this Award which took a number of indicators into account and highlights the excellent work being carried out by staff across the Trust. Staff work extremely hard on a daily basis to improve standards and care for their patients and I’m delighted that their commitment and dedication has been recognised. I would like to thank the staff for their hard work and congratulate them on their achievement.”
The 40Top award is based on the evaluation of 22 key performance indicators covering safety, clinical effectiveness, health outcomes, efficiency, patient experience and quality of care.
Jason Harries, Managing Director, CHKS said: “This year we celebrate our 25th anniversary so it is a fitting occasion to reward excellence in the NHS. These awards recognise outstanding performance in those areas which we believe are critical to delivering good patient care. We are delighted that the Northern Trust is one of our 40Top Hospitals in this special year for our awards.”
