Road closure – Steeple road, Antrim

As part of the ongoing improvement works at the signalised junction of Steeple Road and Stiles Way in Antrim, the Steeple Road will be closed, North of its junction with Stiles Way, to the entrance of Bush Manor from Monday 25 May 2015 to Sunday 14 June 2015 for a period of three weeks.

Appropriate diversions will be signposted via Niblock road and via Crosskennan Road. The overhead gantries on the M2 and M22 will also be utilised to inform motorway traffic of the closure and give early notification to access Antrim via junction 6 at the Greystone Roundabout or via the M22 junction 1 at Dunsilly Roundabout.

Access to the hospital from the M2 at junction 7 will remain open at all times however access to the hospital will not be available from Stiles Way, signs will be in place to advise motorists accordingly. Both the hospital and ambulance service have been advised of the closures. Pedestrians using Steeple Road will be accommodated throughout the works.
