Workshop for those working with people experiencing homelessness
Are you working with people experiencing homelessness?
A half-day workshop will be held on Friday 9 December 2016 from 9 am until 1 pm.
The event will be held at All Saints Parish Centre, 9 Cushendall Road, Ballymena
Keynote Address: Hospital Admissions & Discharge Protocols, St Mungo’s, Ending Homelessness and Rebuilding Lives.
This Workshop will share good practice models addressing health inequalities and encourage effective deployment of resources to streamline service provision.
Who should attend?
• HSC Managers with responsibility for service provision in Emergency Departments, Hospital Discharge, Mental Health, Addictions, and Learning Disability
• Staff from Statutory, Voluntary and Community organisations who work directly with people experiencing homelessness
• Staff working in Primary Care
ECHO (Enhancing Care for the Homeless), established in 2011, addresses the challenges and perceived lack of access to healthcare services by people experiencing homelessness; aiming to improve access, and utilisation of existing services to enhance their health and wellbeing.
