Annual Snowdrop Walk
The Pregnancy Loss and Paediatric Bereavement Team are inviting those parents and relatives from the Trust area who have experienced a pregnancy loss or the death of a child, to a special event.
The annual Snowdrop Walk which takes place in Shanes Castle, is intended as a remembrance opportunity for families. The death of a loved one can be extremely difficult and even more so when they are a baby or a child. Parents, relatives and friends will have the opportunity to plant a snowdrop bulb in memory of their loved one in a designated area within the castle grounds.
The event will take place on Sunday 19 February in the grounds of Shanes Castle, Castle Road, Antrim. Gates open at 1.00pm, with a welcome, dedication and poem recital at 2.00pm. Bulb planting will take place between 2.15pm and 3.15pm.
Light refreshments will be served in the castle grounds restaurant.
There is no charge for the event and all bereaved parents within or treated by the Trust are very welcome.
