Brain Injury Service Earns Three-Year International Accreditation

The Northern Trust Brain Injury Service has received international accreditation for its work in providing rehabilitation services for those who have suffered brain injuries.

The accreditation by CARF International will be for a period of three years and specifically relates to the Trust’s Home and Community Services: Brain Injury Specialty (Adults and Adolescents). This is the first accreditation that CARF has given to the Northern Health and Social Care Trust and is the only CARF-accredited service in Northern Ireland.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organisation and shows the Trust’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. Any organisation receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit, its commitment to offering programmes and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
