Traffic management in place at Antrim Area Hospital site

Construction work is due to commence on the Antrim Area Hospital site on Wednesday 17 March 2021.

This work will be in the car park adjacent to the Emergency Department.

Plant machinery will be delivered to the site between the hours of 07.00 – 07.30am during which time there will be some disruption to traffic exiting the hospital site.  Traffic management will be in place.

For the duration of the construction work, some parking spaces (eight general and four disabled parking spaces) in the car park will be displaced.  These will be reinstated at the end of the scheme.

As part of the scheme, the pelican crossing directly outside the main pedestrian entrance to the Emergency Department will no longer be operational as there will be no direct access into the car park on the opposite side of the road from the direction of these steps. An alternative route will be signposted.
