Schools out for the Summer, but Text a Nurse is Still in Office

Text a nurse

School may be out for the summer, but our School Nurses are still in office waiting for your text and are ready to help.

If you are aged between 11 and 19 you can text a school nurse to ask for advice and support on anything that’s worrying you, causing upset, or maybe you’re just unsure what to do and can’t speak to a parent/carer for advice.

It’s completely confidential. You don’t have to give your name. And means you can ask a question without having a face to face appointment.

You can ask a Nurse any questions to help share your concerns or worries about a range of issues like;

  • Sexual health
    • Stress & Anxiety
    • Emotional health and wellbeing
    • Bullying
    • Healthy eating
    • Contraception
    • Smoking, drugs and alcohol
    • Self-harm
    • General health concerns

All you need to do is send a text message to Text a Nurse on 07480635982 and a Nurse at the Northern Health Trust will reply within one working day. We promise, no judgement.

The team work Monday to Friday, 9am to 4:30pm, excluding bank holidays but anyone who texts the service out-of-hours receives an automatic ‘bounce back’ message that explains where to get help, and when they can expect a response.
