Procurement
Procurement is the process of the acquisition of goods, services, works and other supplies by the public sector, usually by means of a contractual agreement after public competition.
Procurement of goods and services
The procurement of all other goods and services for the Northern Trust is managed and delivered by the Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS), which is accredited as a Centre of Procurement Expertise (COPE). PaLS, based in Ballymena, co-ordinates contracts for goods and services on behalf of the Northern Trust.
PaLS is part of the Business Services Organisation (BSO) which provides a broad range of regional business support functions and specialist professional services to the whole of the health and social care sector in Northern Ireland.
