Private patients
Patients receiving private treatment should have information on all details such as costs and forms to be signed by a consultant before admission. It should be noted that there is a charge for private accommodation in addition to the consultant’s fee. The charge for private accommodation is payable to the hospital and current rates will be explained to you before attending hospital.
Private patients should identify themselves to the ward staff.
Please note that private patients are not always accommodated in single rooms.
An invoice will be forwarded to you or your named representative in the first instance when all documents are completed and you can then forward this invoice to your insurance company if applicable. If you are unsure of anything please ask ward staff and they will be able to help you.
