Robinson Hospital, is located on the Newal road, next to the Ballymoney Health Centre.
The Robinson Hospital is an intermediate care facility which has 25 beds.
The unit provides care for patients requiring rehabilitation following fracture/orthopedic surgery and for patients who may need further assessment following an acute hospital admission. Patients with palliative needs are also cared for at Robinson Hospital.
Rehabilitation processes are supported by community multidisciplinary teams who in-reach into the unit to provide rehabilitation and manage patients discharge following assessment of their long term care needs in the community.
Local GPs manage the medical needs of patients who are admitted to this Robinson Hospital. Patients are admitted to this unit as “step down” from acute hospitals or as “step up” from home. All patients must be assessed as suitable to be cared for in this setting.
Robinson Hospital site also includes a Child Development Centre, Community Physiotherapy Department, Community Dietician and a Parkinson’s Specialist Nurse.
There is no shop or restaurant facilities at Robinson Hospital.
