
Eating Disorder Service for under 18s
The Eating Disorder Service is a specialist, multi-disciplinary service providing expert assessment and treatment for young people with eating disorders and their families. It provides physical and psychological interventions for young people presenting with eating difficulties, such as; Family Based Treatment, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy-Enhanced for eating disorders, Maudsley Family Based Approach, Adolescent Focused Therapy, weight restoration and nutritional counselling. It offers primarily an outpatient service with a paediatric in-patient service for re-feeding if there are high levels of physical risk.
The Service is located at Alder House on the Antrim Area Hospital site.
Referrals
Referrals are accepted from GPs, paediatricians, allied health professionals, social workers and teachers.
Hours of service: Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
