Multiple Sclerosis Service

A new service has been established in Northern Health and Social Care Trust that aims to provide advice, support, local nurse led clinics and treatment for people in the Northern Trust living with Multiple Sclerosis.

Although the service is still in the early stages of development, patients currently receiving monthly infusions of Tysabri can now have this administered at either Antrim or Causeway Hospital instead of travelling to Belfast.

Patients starting or changing most Disease Modifying Therapies will also be able to have this service provided locally.

The two appointed MS Nurses are Brenda Hamill and Martina McKenna.
