Rapid response team sweep up at NI Cleaning Awards

The Rapid Response Team based at Antrim Area Hospital has received a top accolade at the Northern Ireland Cleaning Awards.

Members received the Healthcare Cleaning Team of The Year award with judges commenting on their honesty, humanity, and team work, with their work all done with a smile on their face.

General Manager for Catering and Domestic Services Angelo Fusco, said: “I want to congratulate the team on this prestigious award, they are truly worthy winners.  They are a very highly motivated, enthusiastic team, with a very positive work ethic and they are a credit to, and key part, of the Team North Domestic Services Team.

“The award also reflects the fact that cleanliness in wards, departments and all health and social care facilities is of the utmost importance to the Trust. It contributes to a patient’s overall treatment and experience, so it is important that high standards are maintained.”

The awards are supported by the British Institute of Cleaning Science Training and Services who carry out unannounced site visits to meet the nominees and assess the service they provide.
