Patient Experience Week – share your feedback with us
As part of Patient Experience Week (27 April – 1 May), the Northern Trust is encouraging patients, carers, and service users to share their experiences and feedback.
To make the process as easy as possible, feedback can be shared through the online platform – Care Opinion. Almost 4,000 stories have already been shared with the Trust through Care Opinion, which has provided valuable insight into people’s experiences and helped improve services.
Patient Experience Week is a dedicated time to recognise the importance of listening to patients and celebrating the role feedback plays in improving care. The Northern Trust is using this opportunity to highlight how simple it is for individuals to share their views on the care and services they, or their loved one received.
Whether positive or constructive, all feedback plays a vital role in helping the Trust understand what is working well and where improvements can be made. By listening to patient voices, the Trust aims to enhance service quality, improve patient experience, and ensure care remains responsive to the needs of the population it serves.
Katrina Kelly, Assistant Director Nursing and User Experience Unit at the Northern Trust, said: “Patient Experience Week is a valuable reminder of why listening matters. Every piece of feedback helps us better understand the needs of our patients and improve the care we provide. We would encourage anyone who has used our services to take a few moments to share their feedback.
“With 84% positive feedback on Care Opinion, we’re proud of the dedication and compassion shown by our staff but the stories highlighting where we can do better are equally important. They help inform meaningful change and improvement.
“During Patient Experience Week, I encourage everyone to share their experience – every story matters. You can do this easily and anonymously by scanning the QR code in our facilities, visiting careopinion.org.uk, calling 0800 122 3135, or contacting our Involvement Team.”
