We are delighted to offer an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work as an integral member of the Community Children’s Nursing Team as a Senior Nursing Assistant (Band 3).
In this role you will undertake a range of duties which will contribute to the support and care of children with complex physical health care needs and their families.
You will work across a variety of community settings including in the child’s home providing delegated care within support packages.
You will contribute to a team rota that will include day duty, night duty, weekends and public holidays.
There will be opportunities for skills development and child specific training will be provided, including:
• Enteral feeding
• Administration of medicines including rescue medication for seizure activity
• Care of a child with a tracheostomy

• Northern Community Children’s Nursing team: Causeway Hospital base (one post)
• East Antrim Community Children’s Nursing team: Carrickfergus Health Centre base (four posts)
• Child Development Centre, Station Road, Antrim: (one post)
A waiting list will also be created for any similar posts that may become available Trust-wide.
