Help and support for gynaecological cancer
The diagnosis and treatment of a gynaecological cancer can affect your life in many different ways. Tell your doctor or Cancer Nurse Specialist about any concerns you have or if you are experiencing symptoms, as these can often be controlled with treatment.

Health and wellbeing events
The Trust holds a “Living with and beyond Gynae Cancer” health and wellbeing event each year. The event comprises a series of short talks by expert healthcare professionals, a story from a patient with a similar diagnosis and representatives from local cancer charities who can introduce you to a range of support services.
People have the chance to talk to the various health and social care professionals directly and to meet other people affected by cancer and their families.
One of our biggest ambitions in cancer services is to look at ways to improve the follow-up and ongoing support for people who have either completed treatment for cancer, or are living with their disease.
This is the purpose of our health and wellbeing event, to provide you with additional education and information on how to manage and improve your own health in a way that suits you, and to give you the knowledge of what to look out for, who to contact if you have any concerns, and other support available should you want or need it.
