Adult Centres
Adult Centres provide day care to people with a learning disability who have complex health care needs and / or challenging behavior.
Each adult centre has specially trained day care staff, assisted by a multi- disciplinary team providing a person-centred approach to care planning. This ensures that the specific and complex needs of individuals are met in this environment.
Multi–disciplinary support includes physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, social work, community nursing, dental services and challenging behavior service.
Activities and therapies
Adult Centres provide structured activities and therapies including:

- Rebound therapy

- arts and crafts
- recreational activities
- music
- advocacy groups
Referrals
Referrals to Learning Disability Day Care Services are made through the Mental Health and Learning Disability Social Work Teams.
