Consultation on the Northern Health and Social Care Trust Draft Carer Strategy 2026-2031
We have developed a Draft Carer Strategy, which sets out our plans for the next 5 years, and how we believe we can support our carers. The Trust is committed to supporting carers, and we will ensure that the carers’ voices are heard when developing specific support and resources. We hope you will take the time to join us in this work and help to shape the way we support our unpaid, family carers.

In keeping with the commitments in our Equality Scheme we have carried out an Equality Screening of this draft strategy. We have also carried out a Rural Needs Impact Assessment.

A consultation proforma is available online for you to complete, however, we welcome your comments in any format.
We are consulting for 12 weeks from 27 February 2026.
Comments should be returned to the Involvement Team by 22 May 2026.

Russian: Сейчас план проводимой работы может быть доступен так же на языках этнических меньшинств, по просьбе тех, кто не владеет свободно английским языком.
Czech: ‘Aby byly uspokojeny potřeby těch, kteří nemluví plynule anglicky, je možné tento návrh Akčního plánu na požádání poskytnout v jazycích etnických menšin.’
Slovak: Tento Akčný Plán môže byť na požiadanie dostupný v jazykoch národnostných menšín z dôvodu zabezpečenia potrieb tých, ktorí nie sú spôsobilí mu porozumieť v angličtine.
