Piloting the use of Body-worn Camera Devices within the Emergency Department
Nursing staff at Antrim Area Hospital are to take part in a pilot to trial the use of body-worn cameras within the hospital’s Emergency Department.
Following a public consultation on the proposal, the Board of the Northern Health and Social Care Trust gave the go-ahead for the 12-week trial to start in September 2025.
The aim of the pilot is to help reduce the number of incidences of violence and aggression towards healthcare staff, and enhance safety for patients.
