Hospitals
We provide care and services across a range of hospitals. We provide acute care in Antrim Area Hospital and Causeway Hospital, as well as providing community services in local community hospitals; Mid Ulster Hospital, Moyle Hospital, Holywell Hospital, Robinson Hospital, Whiteabbey Hospital and Dalriada Hospital.
Urgent care
If you are feeling unwell and require urgent treatment but it is not life threatening, phone first on 0300 123 1 123. Our Phone First system operates Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm (excluding bank holidays) for Antrim Area and Causeway Hospital emergency departments, and Mid Ulster minor injuries unit. For all emergencies that are life threatening, always call 999.
Visiting times
- Adult wards: 2.30pm – 4.00pm and 7.30pm – 9.00pm
- Children’s wards and neonatal unit: Parents and carers can visit at any time
- Intensive Care Unit: 2.30pm – 5.00pm and 7:00pm – 9:00pm
- Mental health inpatient wards: 2:00pm – 8:00pm
- Maternity: General visiting times are 3.30pm – 4.30pm and 7.00pm – 9.oopm. Partners or one nominated other may visit for unlimited periods between 11.00am – 9.00pm (a strict rest period is facilitated between 1.30pm – 2.30pm, please speak to staff for guidance around this).

Mid Ulster Hospital, situated on Hospital Road, Magherafelt, provides a range of sub-acute hospital services, a community rehabilitation facility and a Minor Injuries Unit.
Free car parking is available on the hospital site and the Spires Restaurant is on the ground floor in the main building and operates Monday – Friday from 9.00am – 2.15pm.

Moyle Hospital, often referred to as Inver Hospital, provides care for patients requiring rehabilitation, palliative care, or who require further assessment following an acute hospital admission.
Free parking is available, however there is no hospital restaurant or shop on-site.

Holywell Hospital offers a range of acute inpatient and mental health services across two main functional units.
Free car parking facilities are available throughout the hospital site. Additionally, Holywell Hospital is covered by the Antrim town bus service, Steeple Road stop. The Antrim Area Hospital service can also leave passengers off at the rear of the hospital. For more information about public transport please visit www.translink.co.uk.
The Lanyon Restaurant is open Monday – Friday 9:00am – 11:30am and 12:00pm – 2:00pm.

Whiteabbey Hospital provides care for patients requiring rehabilitation or further assessment following an acute hospital admission with a primary referral pathway being orthopaedic and stroke.
There are free car parks available on the hospital site. The Grapevine Restaurant is located at Whiteabbey Hospital and is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am – 1.30pm. There is no hospital shop.
Robinson Hospital

Free car parking is available, however there are no shop or restaurant facilities available on-site.
Dalriada Hospital

Dalriada Hospital provides care for patients requiring rehabilitation, palliative care, or who require further assessment following an acute hospital admission.
The Regional Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Respite Centre is also based in the hospital where patients with MS can avail of respite care.
Free parking is available, however there is no hospital restaurant or shop on-site.
