Trust Board governance

The Code of conduct and code of accountability for Board members of Health and Social Care bodies requires Boards to draw up a schedule of decisions reserved to the Board, and ensure that management arrangements are in place to enable responsibility to be clearly delegated to senior executives. This is called a scheme of delegation.

The scheme of delegation is included within our Standing Orders (PDF).

The Trust Board has in place integrated governance structures and arrangements for good governance, and to ensure that decision-making is informed by intelligent information covering the full range of corporate, financial, clinical, social care, information and research governance aspects. This enables the Board to take a holistic view of the organisation and its capacity to meet its legal and statutory requirements and clinical social care, quality, safety and financial objectives.

A copy of the Integrated Governance Framework is available on request.
