Children’s Medical Services support babies, children and young people who may have developmental delays or disabilities. This includes assessing and managing children from pre-school and school age, and carrying out medical assessments for children under five who may have autism.
Our doctors also work closely with the School Health Service and take part in multi-disciplinary Child Development Clinics, where different professionals work together to support your child. We also provide medical assessments for children being adopted, and annual reviews for some children in care.
Some of our community paediatricians also work in other specialist services, including:
- Hospital paediatric wards
- Autism (ASD) diagnostic services
- ADHD clinics
- General paediatric consultant clinics
- Paediatric palliative care
- The Rowan Sexual Assault Centre
