Our day centres support older people and adults with mental health needs, physical disabilities, or learning disabilities.
Each centre offers a mix of activities in a safe, structured environment. The focus is on person-centred care — helping people stay active, build skills, and enjoy their day. These services also provide support and a break for carers.
As well as long-term support, we offer short-term programmes designed to help people become more independent and improve their quality of life at home and in the community.
The support each person receives is based on their individual needs, which are assessed before they start. We regularly review attendance to make sure the service continues to meet those needs.
All Northern Trust day centres are registered and inspected by the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) to ensure high standards of care.
