Our school nursing teams work across the Trust, both in schools and in the community. They provide advice, support and care to help improve the health and wellbeing of all children and young people aged 5 to 19.
School nurses provide guidance and support on a wide range of topics, including:
- Healthy growth and development
- Emotional health and wellbeing
- Hearing and vision
- Immunisations
- Staying safe
- Healthy lifestyles
- Smoking, drugs and alcohol
School nursing also deliver the Healthy Child Healthy Future Programme for school age children.
They work with children, families and communities to identify health needs and support young people to stay healthy.
