Dermatology is the medical specialty which focuses on the diagnosis of skin diseases.
Dermatologists identify and treat skin lesions and rashes including skin cancer, psoriasis, eczema, acne and many more.
The Dermatology Team consists of consultants, specialist doctors, specialty nurses and GPs with a specialist interest in dermatology. Outpatient clinics are held in Antrim Area Hospital, Braid valley Hospital, Mid Ulster Hospital, Causeway Hospital and Whiteabbey Hospital. Other services provided include skin surgery, phototherapy, patch testing and phototriage assessment.
