Weigh to a healthy pregnancy programme

If you are over 18, pregnant and your Body Mass Index (BMI) is 38kg/m2 or above you may be able to join the Weigh to a Health Pregnancy Programme.

The programme is designed to support you throughout your pregnancy and for around 8-10 weeks after your baby is born.

You will get one-to-one support from a friendly team who will support you with things like eating well, staying active, and making small, healthy changes that can make a big difference for both you and your baby.

There is no judgement – just care, encouragement and personalised advice to help you feel confident and supported during this special time.

Taking part may also help reduce your risk of things like gestational diabetes or high blood pressure and help you build healthy habits for the future.

If you’re interested in joining the Weigh to a Health Pregnancy Programme, please ask your midwife at your antenatal booking appointment.
