School vaccination (Immunisation) Service

The School Immunisation Service provides routine vaccinations in schools, in line with the regional immunisation programme.

Vaccines offered include:

  • Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)
  • Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio (school leavers’ booster)
  • Meningitis ACWY
  • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccination

The HPV vaccination is offered to all Year 9 pupils (boys and girls) in school or those educated at home

  • Consent forms are sent home in early September
  • Please complete and return the form as soon as possible

The vaccine is offered in Year 9 and Year 10. Older pupils will be referred to their GP.

Meningitis ACWY and Diphtheria Tetanus and Polio Booster

Young people are offered important vaccines at school to help protect them from serious illnesses, including meningitis, diphtheria, tetanus and polio.

These vaccines help keep your child safe now and in the future.
