Holywell Hospital in Antrim has over 100 beds and provides a range of acute inpatient and specialist mental health services.
Holywell Hospital has:
- A Dementia Intensive Care Unit
- A regional addictions unit
- Complex care and rehabilitation unit
- Male and female intensive care units
- Three acute admission units (Tobernaveen Upper, Centre and Lower)
Our Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team, Mental Health Liaison Service, and Northern Trust Recovery College are also based at Holywell Hospital.

Restaurants and cafes
Lanyon Restaurant
Located on the ground floor of the main Holywell Hospital building. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 11:30am and 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
There are vending machines beside the Lanyon Restaurant.

Smoke Free Policy
The Northern Trust is a ‘Smoke Free’ Trust, in line with Government regulations. Smoke free means that smoking, including using electronic cigarettes, is not permitted in any areas of the Northern Trust, including all buildings, doorways, grounds, cars and car parks. There are some very limited exemption arrangements which are consistent with current legislation and regulation.
