Inpatient mental health services

Our acute inpatient mental health services aim to provide an assessment of your needs, including your mental health and physical healthcare needs, from which we can develop and implement a plan of treatment and care.

Our team is made up of consultant psychiatrists, speciality and trainee doctors, mental health nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, pharmacists, healthcare assistants and physiotherapists. The ward team is supported by dedicated administration staff.

Services are provided at Holywell Hospital in Antrim and at Causeway Hospital, Coleraine.

Our acute mental health units are designed to present a safe environment for people requiring inpatient mental health care, and to support a patient’s privacy and dignity.
