The Getting Ready for Baby programme helps parents build the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to give their baby the best possible start in life. The programme is based on the evidence-based Togetherness (Solihull Approach) parenting programme.
Delivered in small groups by midwives, either online or face-to-face, the programme gives you the opportunity to meet other expectant parents and involve your partner or support person. It combines practical information about pregnancy, birth and caring for your baby, with a strong focus on your baby’s emotional wellbeing and development.
How the programme works
The programme includes three sessions for first-time parents.
Sessions 1 and 2 are delivered online and will be booked for you following your referral from your midwife at your booking appointment. Please check MyCare and your email regularly for details.
Session 3 requires separate registration and is available online or face-to-face.
