Antenatal education

Antenatal classes help you get ready for your baby’s birth and learn how to care for and feed your baby. They also support you to stay healthy during pregnancy and build your confidence.

The classes give you the chance to ask questions, talk through any concerns, and plan for your baby with guidance from healthcare professionals. You will also meet other parents-to-be and share experiences.

Classes are relaxed, friendly and often a great way to make new friends with people who are expecting babies around the same time as you.

Your community midwife will talk to you about local antenatal and parentcraft classes at your booking appointment.
