Northern Trust Bereavement Pack
The Northern Trust has developed a Bereavement Pack (sometimes referred to as the Purple Bereavement Pack) to provide practical information and support following the death of a loved one.
The pack brings together helpful resources to guide you through the days and weeks after a bereavement, including information about what to do next, where to find support and how to cope with grief.
The pack includes:
- A letter from the Bereavement Team outlining the support available.
- When Someone Dies– a regional bereavement booklet containing practical guidance on what needs to be done after a death.
- When Someone Close to You Dies – Talking with children – advice and support to help children understand and cope with bereavement.
These resources can be viewed online or printed if you would prefer a paper copy. They are designed to offer guidance, reassurance and support at what can be a very difficult time.
