Our Child Health, Development and Emotional Wellbeing Services (CHDEWS) bring together a range of services that support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people.
Our teams work closely together to provide high-quality, evidence-based care that meets the needs of each child or young person referred to us.
Our services are specialist and based in the community. They are delivered by trained professionals from different backgrounds who have experience supporting children, young people and their families.
We provide a range of support, including, advice and guidance, assessment, one-to-one support for young people, family-based work, parenting groups, group work for young people and specialist psychological therapies.

How to access our services
Children and young people can be referred to our services by a GP or by other health, social care or education professionals.
We do not accept self-referrals. All referrals are managed through our Children’s Referral Service (CRS). The team will review the information provided and decide which service is best placed to help. They may contact you if more information is needed.
