Service of Remembrance for Children and Babies

Traditionally in October every year the Northern Health and Social Care Trust hold an annual Service of Remembrance at Causeway Hospital dedicated to the memory of babies and children.

This year, due to the on-going pandemic we are so very sorry that we are unable to hold our traditional service. We felt it would be best for everyone’s safety to hold our service virtually this year on Sunday 11 October 2020 at 3pm via our Northern Trust Facebook Channel.

Our Service of Remembrance is taking place during Baby Loss Awareness Week which every year is recognised across 9-15^th October, and to mark this we have arranged for Causeway Hospital to be illuminated pink and blue to help raise awareness breaking the taboo around baby loss.

Also in support of this we are hosting a ribbon remembrance tree at both Causeway Hospital and Antrim Area Hospital where names of babies were placed as a gesture to recognise the children and babies we miss every day.
