Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist

A Parkinson’s nurse specialist provides nurse led clinics throughout the Northern Trust.

They are a specialist practitioner whose essential skills are clinical leadership, case management, education and the evaluation of care. Services are provided in hospitals, clinics, health centres or in a patient’s own home or care home as appropriate.

The Parkinson’s nurse specialist works in collaboration with other health care professionals such as physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, consultant neurologist, geriatricians and GPs. The Northern Trust’s Parkinson’s nurse specialist is Sharon Hope.
