Coil Fitting

To make an appointment to have a coil fitted please call the clinic to arrange.

Please note: There may be a delay in services due to Covid-19.

Do not have sexual intercourse from the first day of your next period up until your appointment (coils cannot be fitted if there is ANY risk of pregnancy) or if you are already on a contraceptive method, please continue it until your appointment.

Please bring a sanitary towel (not a tampon) for after your coil fitting. If you have been given medication for your coil fitting please take as instructed. It may help to take Paracetamol (500mg) or Ibuprofen (200-400mg) an hour before arriving, provided there is no medical reason against you using pain relief.

If you need to cancel your appointment for any reason please ring as soon as possible.
